Star wars ale giorgini art Adventure Time comic pillow

If there’s one thing about geeks, it’s that they love their fan art. One of my favorite things to check out at cons is the Artist Alley and you can guarantee that I will always come home with at least one new piece of art. But it doesn’t stop there. I was recently exploring Society6.com only to find that they now make printed pillow cases! So not only can you hang your geeky art, but you can cozy up to it on the couch. With that, I wanted to share a few of my favorite pieces of art that I’ve picked up from cons over the years as well as some fun ways to make your home more geeky!

Adventure Time comics pillow Star Wars pillow

Every gamer needs a good gaming chair. Lovesac took the college bean bag to the next level with memory foam filling and quality fabric covers. Sure, the price is definitely on the higher end, but based on the number of satisfied friends who have sat and fallen asleep in our Pillowsac, I can say that it is one comfy chair.

Twin Peaks pillows society 6

One of my favorite shows back in the day was Twin Peaks and I love the designs of these outdoorsy pillows.

Twin Peaks pillow (Art by Jazzberry Blue, buy here)

Scott C Campbell Twin Peaks print

Scott Campbell (not to be mixed up with J.Scott Campbell) has some of the most fun art I have ever seen. This Twin Peaks “Concentrating on the Js” was a perfect match for the previously mentioned pillows. Now I just have to get the Red Room print!

Sushi pillows Arkapasso llama Plush

Every geeky house needs some cute Japanese stuff. I made these sushi and edamame pillows a few years back out of fleece and won this Arkapasso out of a “cut the string” arcade game in Tokyo.

Sho Murase Wonder Woman Catwoman print

If you’re a fan of Asian art and a fan of comic book heroines, then you’ll love Sho Murase‘s art. She is usually at a lot of the big cons in the Artist Alley so check her out!

Millenium Falcon AT-AT prints Society 6

These Millenium Falcon and AT-AT prints are both from Society6 and look great next to our DVD and game collections.

Story posters movie posters

This Story Posters print is a great discussion piece and will have all your guests trying to figure out what’s what!

Eric Tan Indiana Jones prints

These are both by Eric Tan, an amazing artist who works on many popular Disney posters. These are 2 of the 3 Indiana Jones prints he created. Unfortunately, the Raiders of the Lost Ark is still sold out. Boo!

Temple of Doom print available here, Last Crusade print available here.

Bobby Chiu Loch ness Monster Twins prints

One of my earliest art purchases from Bobby Chiu. His art can be so gorgeous and fantastical.

Raving Rabbids figurines

These Raving Rabbids figurines were given to me during my time at Ubisoft. I love putting these guys and other little toys in random places around the house.

Bobby Chiu Baby Chewbacca print

Another one by Bobby Chiu – widdle Chewbacca. I was lucky to get this one a few years ago at Wondercon.

Even though I have much more art and goodies, that’s all I’m going to show you for now! Let me know what you think and how you guys add splashes of geek to your homes!

Artist Alley is definitely one of my favorite things about cons too! Your collection of geek art is amazing! Love the Indiana Jones prints by Eric Tan (jeaaalous). And I can’t believe you won the Arpakasso in a game, those things are ‘spensive (extra jeaaaalouuus)!

    Cheers,

Thanks!! Yeah, the Eric Tan art was definitely a splurge, but I love it!

I had no idea what the Arpakasso things were until I saw them in Tokyo. Now I’ve been seeing them at cons in all these colors so it looks like you can buy them here now. Yeah, that was a HUGE plush to haul all the way back to the states. haha.
