The Future of Geek Fashion
Today’s post may look like a typical outfit post (which it partially is), but I also wanted to take a second to talk a little bit about the Geek Fashion Panel that I had the pleasure of speaking on at Comikaze 2014. With all the different type of geek fashion bloggers and geek clothing designers on the panel, we had a great time discussing all sorts of topics – what we’d like to see for the future of geek fashion, what our personal geek fashion style is, and even how we decide if we’re going to purchase a piece a piece of geek clothing? We definitely touched on things I rarely thought about such as “knock off” pieces and knowing if you’re buying an original design versus a copy cat. I was even surprised to find
that many of the girls felt the same way I did about wanting more “designer” geek fashion pieces that we would feel comfortable wearing at work! And even though we’re all incredibly excited to see that geek fashion has grown a ton over the past 5 years, we all want to see it grow and expand even more. Gone are the days when we had to cut up those free convention shirts to make them fit us! So what are your thoughts about geek fashion and where you see it going?

I would love more work friendly geek fashion as well. It is the main thing I look for, but it is difficult to find!
Also BTW, The Star Wars Manga dress is still available new on the BlackMilk USA site.

Yeah, for sure! I think the closest thing I’ve really found was the We Love Fine Stormtrooper collared shirt!
Thanks for the link btw. For some reason when I went to look for the dress, it said sold out!

I agree o the work friendly geek fashion, and also a little subtle geek fashion. I love the thought of wearing Marvel, Triforce or dalek earrings to a mainstream outfit. So that’a my five cents.
