There are plenty of quotes that any Star Wars fan can easily identify – “I love you” followed by “I know”, “Never tell me the odds” and “I have a bad feeling about this” just to name a few. However, when the initial Rogue One teaser trailer came out, there was definitely one quote that gave me the chills – when Jyn Erso confidently said, “I rebel”. We didn’t know much about her character at the time – was she really going to help the rebellion or would she turn to the dark side? Hopefully by now you’ve watched Rogue One and loved it as much as I did and maybe you noticed, but the quote “I rebel” (along with a few other scenes from the trailers) never made the final cut! Even if that’s the case, I still love that line and designer Jordan Dene has perfectly captured it on this “I Rebel” tank. Now you can feel as badass as Jyn whenever you wear it. Paired with my new Rogue One tote from Loungefly, I’m definitely ready to go rogue.
When I say it’s been a cold winter in the Bay Area, keep in mind that I’m referring to a “Californian winter”, meaning that there will still be the occasional T-shirt appearance and days without your winter coat. :) Ever since I bought these super flared bell bottoms and Han Solo blaster necklace, I’ve had visions of Han Solo collared ’70s shirts, high collar Lando capes, and my favorite – ringer tees. I can’t resist a great ringer tee, let alone a Star Wars one. I don’t know about you, but I found this one especially interesting with the mysterious droid holding what appears to be Luke while Vader triumphantly stands over them. The droid kind of looks like the conceptual Ralph McQuarrie version of C-3PO, but I’m not exactly sure. Maybe this was a vintage comic book cover from an alternate universe? If anyone happens to have an idea, please let me know! Till then, enjoy this groovy outfit!
Following my post from the other day, I wanted to take advantage of the week leading up to Christmas to wear as many holiday themed outfits as possible! I can’t think of one Star Wars fan that doesn’t like R2-D2 (I mean, how can you like a character that doesn’t actually say anything and only beeps?), so what’s more festive than R2-D2 wearing reindeer antlers? To be honest, R2 is cute in everything, don’t you agree? Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas week in your favorite holiday attire!
It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but Black Friday deals have already started! While I love a good deal, I’m also trying the Marie Kondo idea where I only buy stuff I absolutely love. At the same time, I’m also trying not to feel guilty for all the stuff I already bought! Serious first world problems, I know. :) So with that, on to this year’s Black Friday deals! Try to contain yourself!
Hopefully by now you’ve all seen the Rogue One trailer and liked it as much as I did. I can’t wait for this movie to come out, especially because it’s the first standalone movie and not a direct prequel or sequel of any of the other films. It’s pretty crazy to think that there will be a new Star Wars movie out every single year until 2020 and on top of that a new Star Wars Land opening up at Disneyland! And here’s a tip – if you look closely while riding Thunder Mountain, you can actually see some of the construction going on for it! But back to Rogue One.. Continue reading
Every year I get asked what I want to do for my birthday and every year, I completely dread that day. I hate the attention, the pressure of having a “great day” and I have never enjoyed being sung to. Usually I go into hiding around this time and thank goodness for Memorial Day because my birthday usually falls over that 3 day period, but this year I decided to really get away from things by spending my bday at Disneyland! With all I have to celebrate, I was feeling incredible grateful to be present, healthy, and I couldn’t wait to just go there and do whatever, eat whatever, and have a good time.
You know what today is… it’s Star Wars Day! Sure, you could celebrate like I am here by wearing your favorite Star Wars item, but with Star Wars practically everywhere these days, you’re bound to find something new to buy or else something fun to do in order to take today to the next level. Lucky for you, I’ve been keeping my eye out for worthy Star Wars events and put a list together just for the occasion. May the 4th be with you! Continue reading
