With The Last Jedi and all it’s mixed feelings and emotions behind us (sort of), it’s nice to take a minute to really appreciate some of the other Star Wars movies. Immediate after watching The Last Jedi, I went back and rewatched The Force Awakens, Rogue One, and most of the original trilogy. And I don’t know about you, but I suddenly became so much more appreciative of these other movies and even what JJ Abrams did for The Force Awakens, despite people criticizing him for making it too similar to A New hope. It’s kind of like that saying, “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone”. Continue reading
When people ask me how I’m doing these days, I tell them that one of the best things about recovering has been getting my taste buds back. For someone who loves food and sweets, it’s been incredibly hard these past few months to bite into something and have it taste like cardboard! You would think that not being able to taste food would make you eat less, but I think it unfortunately had the opposite effect! My cravings for sugar and especially salt made me want to reach for everything, in hopes that there was a small chance that maybe I could taste that item instead of it being a bland disappointment. Of course all this eating (on top of all the drugs they gave me) has made me want to just wear tunics, leggings, and cover myself up with cute scarves like this R2D2 one! Hopefully I’ll be able to hide behind this “hibernation weight” for now, but in the meantime, it’s time to hit the gym!
Perhaps I’ve been in the mood to wear preppy, uniform inspired clothing lately, but with Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to also share this amazing R2D2 tie that I picked up on my last trip to Disneyland. I knew I had to buy this (if not for my husband, then for myself) probably because I rarely see these type of accessories. If you’re still looking for the perfect gift for your Star Wars fan (guy or girl), then this might just be it. As for how to wear it? For the girls, forget about wearing this with a collared shirt and just go casual over a tee! And for the guys, pair it with your favorite Star Wars cuff links. Happy gift giving!
