My Lost Elephants
You know when you see something in the store and then for some reason you convince yourself not to buy it and then when you get home you can’t stop thinking about it? Well, this happened to me with this Paul and Joe’s Sister blouse I saw at Barney’s almost 1.5 years ago. I saw a blouse version of this elephant print dress at Barney’s Co-op, hesitated to buy it, and then it was too late. And since I saw the blouse while I was on vacation at the time, I never went back to buy it and of course I completely regretted it. I searched all over the internets, but my only hope seemed to be eBay. I decided to do a “save search” for “paul joe sister elephant” and just recently, something finally popped up – a blue silk version with the same pattern (but reversed)! OMG. I almost died. Of course I used Buy It Now and bought it right away, fulfilling my lifelong elephant dreams.
This version is slightly different, but still just as lovable.

Hello! I was just googling this dress because I own one and wanted to sell it on eBay. I saw your blog post and thought I might give you first refusal. I bought the dress from asos.com in 2008 for over £100. I need to face up to the fact that I will never be slim enough to fit into it again, much as I love it :( It is a Euro size 38, though it is pretty small for a 38 – I’d say it’s more like a 36.
