Preparing for the Comic Con Storm
I know that it’s been a while since my last post, but if you’ve been following me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you’ll know that I’m hard at work on my Lady Vader cosplay! I pretty much spent my entire July 4th weekend using Bondo, then sanding, Bondo, sanding, rinse, repeat (see pics after the jump). I think I got a pretty good workout (and tan) sanding for hours in 95 degree weather and I hate to say it, but I can’t wait until San Diego Comic Con is over so that I can relax again! Haha.

On top of that, I have barely thought about the panel scheduling that was just released this weekend! What do you guys think about Friday’s Hall H line up? It’s looking like Friday will definitely be the craziest Hall H day. And if you’ve never been to SDCC before, I highly recommend you read some of my previous tips or even Crazy 4 Comic Con’s site, which is a blog filled with excellent tips on going to comic con (I especially liked the “How to Date at Comic Con” post!) What was the chest armor made of? I couldn’t make out what you said in the video.. Worgla? hehe.. Seems like interesting material to work with

It’s made of Worbla! :) Yeah, it’s definitely a cool material – it’s a thermoplastic similar to Wonderflex, but I’ve found it to be more more moldable.

You just might replace Disco Fett as my favorite SW-related cosplay. Friday is the only day I’ll be going to Hall H. So much of my SDCC time every year is wasted on lines… I intend on no more than 6-8hours total over the 5 days waiting in line. (Haha, yeah right!) Luckily, I’m staying right across the street from Hall H, so I can easily check out how crazy the lines are overnight.

Yup, me too. I think Friday Hall H will be nuts, but hopefully worth the wait. I’ve come to realize I may be spending about 2 days in line since x-files reunion is a must for me!
