The Jedi

It’s Mando Monday so I guess that means I can talk about last week’s Mandalorian episode right?? I’ve been waiting for this one for a long time and it did not disappoint. I’ve always known Dave Filoni is amazing at what he does and this episode just proved that to the mainstream world. The tone, the style, the lighting, the costuming, the fighting – I was completely blown away. This season has been super solid and I didn’t think it it could get even better. I’ve loved Ahsoka Tano’s journey ever since The Clone Wars and the scene in Star Wars Rebels where she fights Vader is still one of my favorites. We all knew her journey wasn’t over at the end of Rebels, but I definitely did not expect to see her in the Mandalorian when it first aired. But when Bo-Katan showed up a few episodes back and mentioned said Jedi, that’s when I knew this season was going to be mind blowing.

Today’s outfit is extra special because not only is this shirt from Her Universe (founded by Ashley Eckstein who is the voice of the animated version of Ahsoka Tano), but the shirt graphic is concept art drawn by Dave Filoni from one of my favorite scenes in Star Wars Rebels. If you’ve ever met Dave Filoni or watched him in a panel, you’ll discover that he’s also an amazing artist, which is why it’s pretty rare to find a shirt with his art on it. This season is seriously off to a great start and I can’t wait to see where it goes!
